When I first began teaching…

it was before I had any degree other than experience in the arts of music and dance. I wanted to share the knowledge I had gained with those who wanted to learn.

Once I acquired my first degree in teaching, I was treated to 24 years of private students who afforded me the opportunity to continue to educate those who were truly seeking knowledge in the area of my expertise.

Once I entered the public school system, there were students who were interested and excited in the subject matter that I brought to them. I soon found that I had to be more creative in order to engage the students that had no interest in what I brought to them.

With the benefit of my studies and ultimate award of becoming a Nationally Board Certified Educator in Early and Middle School Music, I experienced successes and failures presenting to my teenaged students and boundless victories while engaging my elementary students.

For 20 years in the public school I dedicated myself to the task of educating, guiding and inspiring students at every level.

The time came when I desired to return to my roots. I developed a strong desire to share my knowledge, gifts and talents with those who had a passion for learning and were looking for an environment where they could grow and improve their quality of life. That is when I began to develop a curriculum that would become, “Music For Life”
